31 July and 1 August 2018 Scouting their way to mountains
GGIM took 18 Guides (Scout and Guides) from England aged 15 to 17 to Fort Sinhagad on July 31 and Fort Tikona on August 1 as a part of adventure experience.
A group of Guides from England has visited Pune for 3 days for ‘Sangam,’ an event of World Association of Guides. The motive of the event was social work and the troupe performed several social services in three days.
The interesting part of their stay was visits to Sinhagad and Tikona. GGIM took them to the ancient forts and helped them to understand the rich history of Maratha empire and Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The young girls also enjoyed adventurous hikes on historical places. The monsoon added the cherry on the top as it was their first experience of hiking amongst the clouds and heavy rains.
