Good News for All!!

Umesh Zirpe has been selected  out of 60 eminent personalities from Maharashtra for PINNACLERS OF MAHARASHTRA AWARD and will be felicitated by Honorable Governor and Chief Minister of Maharashtra on 1st MAY 2021 at RANGSHARDA AUDOTORIUM, MUMBAI.

Umesh Zirpe is the Founder – Director of GGIM & 8000er expedition leader of Giripremi, who has so far led 7 successful 8000er expeditions including Everest & Kangchenjunga.  For over 40 years, he has been relentlessly promoting the mountaineering sport and encouraging society to seek adventure education.  He is currently leading another Giripremi’s 8000er expedition to Mt. Annapurna I. 

Thus, on the occasion of Maharashtra Diwas, 1st May, he has been selected as one of the eminent personalities of Maharashtra.  Entire GGIM team & Giripremi team salute him for his contribution and congratulate for the prestigious award. 

In 2014, Maharashtra Government had honored him with Maharashtra’s highest Shivchhatrapati Adventure Sport Award.
