Adventure Training to All India UPSC Officers

After a successful association with Savitribai Phule Pune University and NIM Uttarkashi where GGIM incorporated Adventure education and mountaineering training curriculum, another landmark moment arrived where YASHADA (Yashvantrao Chavan Academy of Administration and Development Pune) associated with GGIM to provide adventure training program to the government officers.

As a part of this unique association, GGIM’s senior mountaineers and educators conducted 2 Himalaya and 1 Sahyadri treks for the All India Service Officers. Most of them were IPS of various cadres across India. 25 trainees completed Sahyadri Adventure – Sinhagad Rajgad Torna Raigad, a five-day residential program and 25-25 trainees completed Hamta Pass and Chandrakhani Pass treks in Himachal Pradesh.

All the programs took place in a safe and systematic manner and were deeply appreciated by the YASHADA administration and the trainees. It is certainly a proud moment for GGIM to have collaborated with a government institution of YASHADA stature and we hope to continue working in the future.
