Giripremi’s Umesh Zirpe and Bhushan Harshe honored with Tenzing Norgay Excellence Awards at Himalayan Conclave

It is with immense pride that the Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering (GGIM) announces a new milestone in its legacy of adventure education. The institute, along with Giripremi and the Giripremi Adventure Foundation, was recently honored with the prestigious Tenzing Norgay Excellence Award at the Himalayan Conclave – Everest Summit 3.0 in Ranchi, organized by the i3 Foundation in partnership with IMF East Zone.
The awards, presented by Jamling Tenzing—the son of the legendary mountaineer Tenzing Norgay—celebrate outstanding contributions to the world of mountaineering. They serve as a powerful testament to the dedication and pioneering spirit of the entire Giripremi team.


Recognition of Excellence

Umesh Zirpe received the Tenzing Norgay Excellence Award in the “Inspirational Mountaineer” category.

Bhushan Harshe was honored in the “Explorer in the Indian Himalayas” category.
These recognitions are not just individual achievements but a celebration of the entire Giripremi team. They reflect the collective commitment to mountaineering, adventure education, and exploration. The awards validate the organization’s mission to inspire, educate, and equip individuals with the skills and passion for a life of adventure.
The Himalayan Conclave, organized by the i3 Foundation under the leadership of Rajeev Gupta and Satyarup Siddhanta, created a fantastic platform for knowledge sharing and inspiration.
