Adventure Club in Muktangan English School

What a mesmerizing seeding of the Adventure Spirit in PVG’s Muktangan School!

70 highly motivated kids supported by their generous parents with an inspiration from the visionary Muktangan school principal Mrs. Supriya Deshkulkarni, immersed in an adventure Trekking experience in association with GGIM!

The Adventure Club of PVG’s Muktangan English School & Jr. College, Pune in collaboration with Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering (GGIM) was officially launched on 11th January 2025. The initiative aims to foster a sense of adventure, teamwork, and physical fitness among students while providing opportunities to explore nature and environmental awareness among students. 

Today on 19th Jan 2025, the adventure club embarked on its first ever trek to Tikona fort in Maval region of  Pune. It was a perfect destination for students to experience the thrill of trekking while exploring historical, geographical and nature’s grandeur. 

Children had an excellent exposure to forts architecture, history, current conservation steps, flora fauna of the region and so on. 

On the first trek itself they learned their golden rule of mountaineering Going up is optional but coming home safely is mandatory.

Overall it was a great day and children are heading home with beautiful memories. They are absolutely wonderful children with a great urge to learn and do adventure. We wish them great luck for future adventures.
