AKSHARA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
ADVENTURE EDUCATION PROGRAMME

GGIM has proudly been associated with Akshara International School for the past four years, building a structured and progressive outdoor education journey through the ANU Program — Avhaan, Avhaan Advance, Nirmaan, Nirmaan Advance, and Udaan. Designed as a step-by-step experiential learning pathway, the program enables students to gradually develop outdoor skills, confidence, leadership qualities and a deeper connection with nature through practical, hands-on experiences.
Over the years, students have successfully completed the Avhaan and Avhaan Advance stages, where they were introduced to trekking, outdoor fundamentals, team activities and basic adventure exposure. As they progressed further, students entered the Nirmaan stage, which has now been successfully completed. This phase focused on strengthening discipline, teamwork, endurance, responsibility and resilience while encouraging students to adapt to challenging outdoor environments with confidence and maturity.
Throughout the journey, students actively participated in numerous Sahyadri treks, outdoor learning sessions, camps and adventure activities, consistently demonstrating enthusiasm, dedication and remarkable growth. The program has helped students move beyond conventional classroom learning by encouraging experiential education, decision-making, collaboration and self-reliance in real-world situations.
Building on this strong foundation, the upcoming academic year marks the beginning of the Nirmaan Advance stage at AIS. This next phase is designed to introduce students to a higher level of adventure and responsibility through longer endurance-based treks, technical outdoor activities, leadership tasks and more demanding expedition experiences. Along with skill enhancement, the focus will continue to remain firmly rooted in safety, structured progression, mentorship and responsible outdoor practices.
This continued association between GGIM and Akshara International School reflects a shared vision towards holistic and experiential education. Through the ANU Program, students are not only learning outdoor skills but are also developing confidence, resilience, leadership, environmental awareness and the ability to face challenges with a positive mindset. Over the years, ANU has evolved into a meaningful journey of growth, helping students become more capable, aware and responsible individuals both inside and beyond the classroom.
