MUKTANGAN SCHOOL
Guardian Giripremi Institute of Mountaineering (GGIM), in association with Muktangan School, has initiated a structured and meaningful outdoor learning journey through the Avhaan–Nirmaan–Udaan (ANU) programme and the Muktangan Adventure Club. This collaboration is designed to go beyond conventional classroom education and provide students with real-world experiences rooted in nature, adventure, and life skills.
The programme was introduced for students of Grades 5 and 6 through the Avhaan level, while the Adventure Club engages students from Grade 7 onwards. It marks a strong step towards nurturing a generation that is confident, responsible, and deeply connected with the natural environment.
Throughout the academic year, students actively participated in treks across the Sahyadri ranges, exploring historic forts, forest trails, waterfalls, and unique geographical landscapes. These experiences are not limited to physical activity but are thoughtfully designed learning modules where students understand history, geography, environmental responsibility, and teamwork in a practical setting.
With the guidance of experienced GGIM instructors, students learn essential outdoor skills, discipline, and the importance of safety. More importantly, they develop qualities like resilience, leadership, empathy, and self-reliance. Each trek becomes a “living classroom,” where challenges are embraced and learning happens through experience.
This association reflects a shared vision—to enable holistic development by combining education with adventure, and to shape individuals who are not only academically capable but also mentally strong, environmentally aware, and socially responsible.
