Ggim’s over all 22nd Basic Rock Climbing Course and first of this season concluded yesterday.

The course which commenced on 25th of November and concluded on 28th of November.

28 students from different parts of Maharashtra completed the course which lasted for 4 days In the beautiful premises of Tilak Bunglow,Sinhgad Fort. The students learnt activities like Rock climbing, Rappelling, Jumaring, Map Making, First aid, camping, backpacking, rope knots and equipment in outdoors. GGIM’s highly qualified instructors – Dr. Sumit Mandale, Krishna Dhokle, Dinesh Kotkar, Jay Kolhatkar, Lokesh Shinde, and Aishwarya Ghare taught students various aspects of rock craft.

Veteran mountaineers Umesh Zirpe and Ushaprabha Page, from Giripremi attended the closing ceremony and awarded certificates to the participants. Those who secured ‘A’ grade  were eligible for GGIM’s advance rock climbing course.

All of the students showed exemplary performance during the course, each student fulfilled every task given by the instructors. Every student had vivid experiences during the course and gained valuable Insights of rock climbing and mountaineering.
