Nirmaan Multiday Trek
Get ready for a memorable mountain expedition! We are pleased to introduce the Nirmaan Multiday Trek, taking participants to the historic forts of Salher Fort and Mulher Fort in the Baglan range of Nashik District, Maharashtra. This trek is specially planned for the Nirmaan batch, offering participants an opportunity to experience long mountain treks, camping, and exploration in one of the most remarkable regions of the Sahyadri ranges.
Staying true to the values of GGIM, this multiday trek encourages endurance, teamwork, and self-reliance through real outdoor experiences. Participants will trek across high mountain terrain, camp in the wilderness, and learn about the geography and history of the region. Salher Fort is known for the historic Battle of Salher in 1672, where the forces of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj defeated the Mughal army in one of the largest battles fought in the Sahyadri region. Nearby Mulher Fort, earlier known as Mayurgad, served as an important administrative and military centre in the Baglan region for several ruling dynasties.
The Nirmaan Multiday Trek blends adventure with learning and exploration. Through trekking, camping, and discovering the heritage of these forts, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Sahyadri mountains while strengthening their confidence, teamwork, and connection with the outdoors.
