Trek Destination: Korle to Raireshwar
About the Trek
The trail from Korle to Raireshwar begins from the base village of Korle and gradually ascends through open muddy trails, forest sections and long stretches of rocky terrain.
The initial climb is steady and continuous, with exposed sections that require endurance and careful footing. As the trail gains elevation, participants will encounter open grasslands and rolling tableland sections offering expansive views of the surrounding valleys.
The final approach leads to the historic Raireshwar Plateau, where open landscapes, ancient stone pathways and the peaceful Raireshwar Temple create a unique mountain experience.

- Cancellation Policy for One Day Treks
1. Cancellation will be considered only when you send an official email for the same to ggimpune@gmail.com.
2. If cancelled 3 or more days prior to the trek, entire fees will be refunded or carried forward.
3. If cancelled 2 days prior to the trek, 70% of the paid amount will be carried forward only towards next scheduled activity or refunded.
4. If cancelled within 2 days prior to the trek, 30% of the trek fees will be carried forward only towards next scheduled activity or refunded.

Learning Content
The learning content includes a brief history of Hindavi Swarajya with reference to Raireshwar Temple, where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is believed to have taken the oath of Swarajya. It also covers the historical importance of the surrounding Bhor region and its forts and trade routes within the Sahyadri. The session also explains the geological features of the Sahyadri range, including basalt rock formations formed by ancient volcanic activity, plateau structures, escarpments, valleys, and natural weathering patterns that shape the rugged mountain landscape.
