Description
Sevasadan English Medium School – Kalyangad fort Trek
Hello Adventure Enthusiasts and Parents,
GGIM is thrilled to welcome you to the newly established Adventure Club at Sevasadan English Medium School. Built on the spirit of grit, exploration and the joy of reaching new heights together, the club aims to introduce students to the exciting world of outdoor adventure and experiential learning.
Kalyangad Fort, also known as Nandgiri Fort, is a historic hill fort located in Koregaon taluka of Maharashtra’s Satara district. Perched at an elevation of approximately 1,078 metres (3,537 feet) above sea level, the fort stands on a spur of the Mahadev mountain range. Traditionally attributed to Shilahara King Bhoj II, the fort was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s forces in 1673. The fort features historic gateways, a water-filled cave, remnants of temples and other structures, and offers scenic views of the surrounding Sahyadri landscape.
